Review highlights
Based on 332 reviewsReviews of Pistachio by Masala Twist highlight its reputation as one of Nairobi’s premier Indian dining spots, praised for flavorful, well-balanced dishes that avoid overwhelming spiciness. The restaurant is appreciated for its appealing presentation, inviting ambiance, and versatile seating options, including indoor and outdoor spaces. Customers note the attentive and courteous service alongside thoughtful touches such as accommodating special requests, including prayer space for Muslim patrons. While the serene environment and live music add to the overall experience, some suggest improvements in staff attentiveness. The portion sizes are generally considered generous, making it a favored choice for both casual meals and special occasions.
Have eaten here three times since December - it’s easily the best Indian restaurant in Nairobi, food is flavorful and spicy without the burning hot sensation, and served in an appealing fashion
It was my first time and the food was finger-licking good! We tried the chicken and fish masala and boy, oh boy! Delicious. The setting is quite nice with options for indoor or outdoor sitting. Good choice if you enjoy Indian cuisine with a kick to it. I certainly wouldn't recommend for small children but they also serve chips.
It was an amazing experience, I loved the services offered, nice jazz music and food in general. The waiters and waitresses were kind. I'd love to visit again.
We went for dinner and the manager ushered us in. They're running a December "festive menu" which includes starters, main course & dessert at 1850/ pp. We ordered non veg Indian and non veg Chinese. The food was good though I'm not familiar with Chinese cuisine. It was prayer time & we requested a prayer space (we're Muslims) & they were kind enough to offer a decent little space. I'd definitely go back!
We had a lovely lunch here yesterday. I loved the serenity and calmness that the place brings. The food was nice, portions are quite filling. The waiters can be a bit more pro-active with all customers though.
The food was served in generous portions and was very delicious. Great ambience, service was good. Downside is a limited wine selection and desserts. Sadly on this day they did not have the Lebanese menu available which we would have loved to taste alongside the Indian one.
Lovely restaurant at 14 Riverside Drive. The ambience is great and the food is amazing. They serve Indian and Mediterranean cuisine. The staff are kind and the garden setting is beautiful. Okay for a business lunch.
Food. You know food that keeps your belly nice and warm? Yes. That's precisely how I'd describe the food at Pistachio. The spicy flavours make the meals an absolute delight.Service.The service was okay with recommendations given as well.Ambience.It's suitable for solo, date or group settings especially for dinner as the lights look great in the evenings. The colors are homely and warm.
